I was delighted to design the identity and website for Kati London + Kate Crawford's Listening Machines: a one-day summit 'to address the new era of consumer listening devices.' The summit was supported by The New York Times Research & Development group and Microsoft Research.
I incorporated images of historical listening machines in contrast with the contemporary subject matter of the conference. Listening machines of the past were bulky, cumbersome, and built to assist us; listen machines of the present are tiny, subtle, and built to observe to us.
